LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police are investigating the shooting death of an 18-year-old in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood.
The shooting was reported Friday just after 8 a.m. in the 3900 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North which is between Nellis and Lamb boulevards.
During a news briefing, Metro Lt. David Valenta said two shots were fired from a shotgun and one person has been detained.
“But it’s too early to say if the person is or is not a suspect,” he said.
When officers arrived at the scene, the 18-year-old male was found dead in a trailer. Lt. Valenta said detectives are talking with family members and witnesses but the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.
